Welcome to LOWE & WILLS
HISTORY
The firm was established by Jonathan Lowe who
has a family history aligned to the practice of law in our province. His
father, Mr Frederick Hardwicke Lowe, opened his offices in Pietermarizburg
when he returned from overseas after his participation in World War II.
Jonathan and his brother joined their father's firm of FH Lowe which had
offices in Pietermaritzburg, Ballito and Margate.

When Jonathan branched out on his own in 1987 he took over the Ballito
office of FH Lowe, which is now well known on the North Coast as Lowe &
Wills.
Clive Wills joined Jonathan in his new practice which was opened under the
name of Jonathan Lowe & Company.
As the firm evolved, the name was changed to LOWE & WILLS to incorporate
both partners' names. Sadly, Jonathan Louw passed away at
the beginning of 2007 after a brave battle with cancer.
THE PARTNERS
There are two partners in the firm: CLIVE WILLS
who is the senior partner. He plays bowls for Lynwood Bowling Club and is a
keen fisherman; and RUTH PIETERSE who became a partner on the 1st October 2006. She has worked for the firm since
1994 and specialises in deceased estates and property law. She is an avid
reader and enjoys gardening.
WHAT WE DO
We specialise in property transactions and have
extensive experience in all aspects of residential and commercial property
transfers. We are on the panel of the major financial institutions.
We also attend to the preparation of wills, winding up of deceased estates,
antenuptial contracts and the drafting of legal agreements.
We are a small firm who pride ourselves on attention to detail. We believe
in
keeping close contact with our clients as we guide them through the legal
process.
